Publishing Strategies
Guide to publishing and maintaining Strategies in Sherpa
Publishing Strategies
Eligibility:
Any user may publish a Strategy to the database simply by being a mSHERP holder who meets the requirements. Once eligible, users may publish while making a trade or designing a hedge.
Strategy Publication Benefits
Publication makes the strategy public-facing, and designates the creator as the entity which receives revenue share from Sherpa when the publicized Strategy is adopted. Strategy owners receive 15 - 35% of the Position creation fee collected by the protocol when other users adopt that strategy.
Visibility and Risk Ratings
After publication, Strategies appear on the Sherpa UI enabling easy access/adoption when opening a Position. The visibility of each Strategy is based on:
- Usage
- Popularity
- Votes cast by mSHERP voters
Strategy risk ratings are also established by mSHERP voters. These risk ratings can be used as a criteria by which to sort options when making decisions about going risk-on.
Important:
If a user no longer holds the required mSHERP, their user-owned Strategy(s) will be forfeited and become protocol-owned.
Publication Requirements
When publishing a Strategy, a user specifies:
- Asset(s) and proportion(s)
- Adaptive or non-adaptive status
- Delegation to Sherpa partner yield bearing opportunities
If the Strategy is Adaptive, the user must further specify Strategy logic using conditioning parameters.
